This page explains what happens when you use the decoder and what this site does not need to collect.
Local file processing
When you choose a file, this website reads it with browser APIs and decodes it in your device’s memory. The selected file is not uploaded to Winmail.dat Opener, and there is no server-side file retention or download area.
What the site can still receive
As with any website, your browser may request the page, scripts, styles, and static assets needed to display it. Your hosting provider may receive ordinary web request information such as an IP address, timestamp, and user agent. The decoder does not need the contents of your selected file to provide the download results.
Temporary browser data
Recovered files are represented by temporary browser object URLs so you can download them. Those URLs are revoked when you reset the tool or leave the page. The page does not intentionally save recovered files to a cloud account.
Third-party services
The first release is designed without advertising pixels, analytics scripts, or third-party upload services. If that changes, this page should be updated before those services are enabled.
